Honeymoons

The perfect honeymoon is as subjective as the perfect partner.  Your honeymoon is bound to be one of the most memorable holidays of your life, and should be the most romantic.  The world is your oyster, and every timezone is filled with possibilities for a romantic sojourn.

Beaches

Warm beaches, cocktails, bikinis, and paradise islands make destinations like Mauritius and the Caribbean classic honeymoon destinations.  For something slightly off the beaten track, Croatia, Thailand and the Dominican Republic provide something a little less commercial and more off the beaten track.  Those on a budget should head to the glistening Mediterranean islands, and those looking to renew their wedding vows (you've only been married for a week, but why not?) should try Bali.

Reclusive

Perhaps you would rather lock yourselves away in a luxury country house, and be the only two people in the world for a few days.  There are hundreds of picturesque cottages to choose from, particularly in the UK. TheCotswolds, Highlands, and Lake District all offer rustic options as well as world-class decadence.  If your honeymoon needs a trip abroad, why not choose an all-inclusive resort?  A private beach, lake, or ski slope can be yours to indulge in with the right budget.

City Life

For something more fast-paced and exciting, why not try one of the world's top cities?  Paris has long been hailed the city of love, and is not short of romantic attractions - riverside walks, candle lit dinners, and twilight cruises are among the archetypal things to do here. Similarly, Venice, Bruges, and Rome provide memories set in nostalgic backdrops that have told the stories of legendary romances throughout history.  For something a bit more modern and quirky, New York and Tokyo can give you something to explore and make your own.

Wilderness

For couples looking for real adventure, there is nothing like getting back to nature.  Exotic safaris and jungle walks will fling you into an environment so foreign, your relationship will be intensified.  Discover the pyramids in Egypt, watch other species roam across the deserts, and step into unknown rainforests, together.

The Great Freeze

People say that cold weather encourages people to huddle together.  Although you will probably not need much help with this on your honeymoon, several icy locations provide attractive post-wedding getaways.  Roll into a Gothic hotel in Prague by horse-drawn carriage, escape to the curious mysticism of Russia, or stay in a Scandinavian ice hotel, where linens are made of furs and there is even an ice shaped wedding chapel.  These places often see white Christmases, and the winter lights twinkling in the background make for a beautiful honeymoon in a Winter Wonderland.
